Australian Ballet School Audition.?

What is the Audition like to get into the full time programme at the Australian Ballet School? Would I be able to get in: I’m doing Grade 5 Cecchetti Syllubus but I haven’t actually done an exam…. Is the audition really really hard? Is anyone else auditioning in 2010? Please say if you are! And could someone please give me a brief run-down on the auditon?

I auditioned way back in 1982 I think! But I still remember it. It was nothing like a ballet class.

I remember they made us sit on the floor with our legs out straight, feet pointed and turned out.I remember that it showed my very hyper extended legs esshh! And I remember the girl next to me had perfectly straight legs and beautiful turn out……I still remember her smiling at her legs and then at the examiner who smiled back at her, God I didn’t have a chance. Also they made us do frogy position. We did an Arabesque and held it and held it while they went around the room and looked at each one. That is all that I remember, it was very short, we may have done some jumps too I think. It was more about the type of body that you had rather than the ability that you had.
