BALLET ADULT
Does anyone know of an adult ballet class in or around Worcestershire, UK?
Especially a class for beginners?
I currently live in Malvern and I think there is a ballet school here, but think that they only teach children.
I’m in my late 20’s and have never danced but have always wanted to have a go.
Would taking up ballet be a too bigger unrealistic thing to try?
In Malvern there is Cecilia Hall Dance School I think. I just looked on yellow pages and it still exists. It is above Oxfam in Church Street if I remember correctly. They offer a wide range of dance classes from Ballet, tap, modern to ball room dance and street dance. They offer adult classes and teach all levels. Its a proper studio with bars and mirrors, quite big. I think you are never to old to learn, and no it is not unrealistic to learn in your 20’s. Go for it! I’m not sure if pointe ballet will be taught though as I know that you have to build muscles first and expience the foot shapes on flat floor work. Sometimes people can find it hard because of foot shape and muscle tone. I think that it is a good way to tone up though and keep fit.
The number for this school is in the yellow pages, but if classes are on then leave a message and they’ll phone you back. I dont know any of any other classes in Malvern.
