had to wear a leotard and the skirt part went down to my knees? my parents wont let it be any shorter.
Probably not. They need to see what’s going on with your hip placement and a skirt hides a multitude of sins.
Perhaps your regular teacher can have a talk with your parents about why it’s important to be able to see the hips and legs in ballet. It has absolutely nothing to do with modesty or lack thereof; it’s about making sure you are using proper placement and technique, which in turn will not only help you advance your dancing opportunities, but also help you to prevent injury down the road.
