ballet and Disney auditions?
Im going to be auditioning for a role as a Disney character and I know there is a lot of Dancing involved. so I want to take dancing lessons. Someone told me ballet should cover this??
Any cast members who have been through this…will ballet help? or is there some other type which can help me even more?
I hate to burst your bubble, but these parts are done by professional dancers. This is what they do when a company they are in folds or downsizes, or when they are waiting to get into a company. They have had many years of dance training dancing 25-30 hours a week.
I know some dancers who have done Disney, and a friend of mine toured as Elmo (similar type thing) for 6 months recently.
*If this is just for a theme park character at WDW, you may not need as much dancing. My answer is if you are doing Disney tour work. I don’t know which you are asking about.
