BALLET LOS ANGELES
ballet dance info…anyone?
Okay so i have a friend and she always wanted to do ballet dancing, but her family cant pay her lessons. So for this Christmas i want to give her a surprise and tell her that im going to pay for her dance lessons. I just need a little bit of information…
1. She is 14years old, 5.2′ and weights 130. Does that effect anything?
2. I need a place in Los Angeles CA.
3. I really dont want her to feel different from like others, if one is better than her or something:/
Any advice???Anyone?
thank you very much another thing she is scared so she would just like a small little class, thats why its kind of hard for me to find that one place.
she hates being in a big group more like she would prefer privet lessons and she dont feel comfterable having a guy teacher..lol!
advise?
1. She should be fine in most schools, unless she is going somewhere to train to be a strict ballerina than physique shouldn’t matter.
2. Can’t name anything specific because LA is loaded with great schools. Try the yellow pages. You definitely shouldn’t have a hard time finding somewhere to dance in LA.
3. There’s always going to be somebody better. You better develop a thick skin, especially for Ballet, which is the most disciplined and strict forms of dance. Ballet teachers are like drill sergeants and have very high standards. They are the toughest teachers in dance, absolutely. The teachers will not settle for any dancer that brags about her talents in and out of class. Everybody is there to make eachother better. Students that give off that vibe, many teachers will put in the back during the routines. A group of dancers is only as good as the weakest link. Everybody is there to bring eachother up
