BALLET PIROUETTE MOVEMENTS

Ballet questions! HELP?
Please watch this video! Hehe! I know it’s from Angelina Ballerina, but it’s fun!

Anyways.
1) I love it when certain dancers have a certain quality, and precision to their movements. How can I get that quality of innocence, and clean moves?
2)You see the older girl’s bangs? I have an oval/square-ish face. That doesn’t make much sense, but sometimes it looks square, sometimes it looks oval, or rounder. Would her bangs look okay on my shape face? I love how they look!
3) How tall do you think the older girl is? How old do you think she is? I’m about 5′2″, and just turned 15.
4) How can I get a very clean pirouette, even just a single? I have trouble on my left. And when balancing in just passe on releve, whenever I let go of the barre, my ankle just collapses, and I cant stay on my highest releve. Advice?
1.) You have to practice, practice, practice. Work hard on being graceful and elegant. But all you have to do is practice.
2.) Probably, they would. But for dance, you don’t need bangs, and honestly I would not recommend longer bangs, because if you are dancing, it’s a distraction to keep touching them or pulling them away from your eyes.
3.) I think she is about 5′7″. But it really would not matter.
4.) You have to keep practicing. And do things to get your legs stronger. I used to have that problem. But your leg needs to be strong for support of course.

Using simple, non-technical terms, Kenneth Laws combines his knowledge of both physics and dance to describe how the laws of gravity, momentum, and energy affect dancing bodies. The book explores the natural… |
