BALLET PIROUETTE TECHNIQUE
pirouettes (etc.)?

I have a new ballet teacher and she is teaching me how to do pirouettes totally differently than I ever learned before. She is trying to teach me how to do it correctly, but I’m just not getting it. She said something about twisting my heels?? Please help. I need some information, links, and resources on ballet technique.

thx.
*I’m supposed to get my heels into a sideways second..(explain)

ok…what ur teacher probably means about twisting ur feet is, when you are about to do a pirouette, you have to leave ur feet in the same place and not move them…you CANNOT let them slip or anything until u go up on to eleve to do the turn….so, try to plant ur feet in one place before you turn…but, if ur dance teacher is teaching you the correct way to do a pirouette, cooporate with her and don’t get frusterated…because you have to learn it sometime! good luck
