BEGINNER BALLET STEPS
Ballet exam question?
I have just applied to a ballet class 
Next week I have to go there and take an exam. I’m a beginner and they know it.
I met the teacher but she left before I was told that I had to take an exam so I didn’t get to ask her. I asked the secretary and she said “well.. they’ll want to see if you have the sense of rhythm , if you have an ear for music and stuff like that” ( I must say that I applied at the same school for both piano and ballet ..and she was talking about the two exams)
So..what do you think the’ll ask me to do? How will the exam be? Should I learn a few steps or something before?
I’m not scared, I think it will be ok..I’m just curious.
If I were you, I would at least read up on a few steps. You’re going to at least want to learn the 5 positions and a plie.
Since you’re a beginner, they probably want to know how well you can pick up on steps. So watch the teacher closely, and repeat when it’s your turn! Good luck.
