im dancer and i have growth plate questions?
im a dancer and i was planning on going to a summer program (san francisco ballet school) but my ankle was hurting so i went to the doctor. the doctor said that the spot hurting was maybe the growth plate or around there and that i should take off and not go to a summer program for the summer. does anyone know if this is the right thing to do??????? please helpp… i dont want to miss the summer 
The right thing to do is rest. RICE- Rest. Ice. I forget C. and Elevate.
I know how it feels to take off. I had to stop dancing two years cuz I had foot problems and ended up getting surgery. Now I have something called osgoodshlatters disease and tendonitis in my knees. VERY painful. Resting is supposed to be the only cure for osgoodshlatters I think (no, i’m not saying you have that). But yeah, REST!
