DANCE BALLET KIDS
I really want to learn jazz/contemporary/ballet dance?
I’m 15…i hip hop dance and i used to ice skate so i know a little bit about jumping and spinning but i can’t do any ballet moves or like contemporary dancing but i reallyyy want to try it out and get good so that i can be in my schools dance co.
is it too late to learn to foundations of these dance genres? like if i took a class would i be with a bunch of little kids?
Since you have dance and ice skating experience you would definitely not be placed in a younger kids class. Ice skating helps with the basics of ballet so much! If you can turn and jump on the ice, you will have no problem learning on the floor. Many people start jazz and contemporary dance classes when they are older, so that should be no problem. I would say, go for it! You don’t want to miss out on dancing. It can be so much fun. I have been dancing for 14 years and I would recommend it to anyone that is interested!
