BALLET SHOES LITTLE GIRLS

18 year old boy being put in ballet?
im a boy being forced to take ballet class? what do i do its for girls, the teacher is putting me in a beginners class with little ass girls, while my sister get to go to advanced? she said the dress code for me is a light blue leotard whatever that is? white tights and light pink ballet shoes! she also has this stick thing she carries around all the girls seem to be afraid of it, anyone know what its for? im also afraid my mom will take me to the grocery store in my ballet clothes, she does with my sisters, all they wear are these hoodies, and there tights and leotard are still exposed? what do i do, what will i expect?
I’m kind of with partout on this one. Not really sure you are telling the truth. But if you are, you should TRY IT. You will look really toned in a few short weeks and it should improve any sports you play. The dress code seems a little odd as light blue isn’t exactly a color guys commonly wear in ballet. But then again, they usually wear white or black ballet shoes too. The stick is for banging the rhythm on the floor when the students aren’t following the music well. Its a very old and not widely used technique. This all just sounds like you came up with it from the stereotypes you have of ballet dancers, not like its real. But anyway, if you are going to the grocery store with your mom (?!) just pull some jeans and a hoodie over your dance clothes. No big deal. She can’t force you to wear your leotard and tights into the store. Also, be prepared for it to be really awkward in class. The little girls are going to giggle around you and point and stare. You aren’t going to have anyone to talk to. It will be weird. Just to warn you. But you may like it. And if you don’t, you are almost out of the house anyway or you can tell your parents you gave it a try (that means more than one or two classes!) and you didn’t like so you quit. And if you do like it, then yay!! You’ve found a new interest that makes you happy and you’ll be in the advanced class in no time.
